ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Michael J Wackell, Sr was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2012, although creative his entire life, it was not until after his diagnosis that he began focusing his free time painting. Picking up watercolor for the first time, he has taught himself to paint entirely with his non-dominant hand, and learned to work with his tremors to create artwork inspired by outdoor scenery, trees, lighthouses and a favorite pastime, fishing.
